The Otero Junior College men’s basketball team will have a lot of new faces going into the 2010-11 season. Nine players from last year’s roster have moved onto to continue playing at four-year institutions. “I am looking forward to coaching this team more than any team we’ve had in my stint at Otero. We will be young and lack some experience, but we really focused on bringing in student-athletes that fit the culture we are trying to create in our program at Otero, We feel like this group will work hard, want to be coached, strive to get better daily, and are serious about living up to our academic expectations and earning a two-year degree,” Coach Reed stated.
Returners from last year’s roster include Josh Pleasant (Aurora, CO), Antonio Higgins (Dallas, TX), and Justin Clark (Denver, CO). All three returning sophomores broke the starting line-up in the 2009-10 season. The remaining roster will be filled with a few red-shirts from last season, a transfer, and incoming freshmen.
