Biography
Ardith Wallace is a Department of Arts faculty member and basic skills instructor. She is originally from Ogden, Utah, but she grew up in Aurora, Colorado, where she graduated from Aurora Central High School. Teaching has always been her passion, and she has taught at many educational levels: pre-school, elementary, middle school, high school, and college. Her background and experience in teaching students with disabilities brought her to Otero Junior College in January 1992. She started computer access instruction for students with disabilities, and she served as Disabled Student Services director and ADA coordinator until fall 2004 when she was appointed to her current position as chair of the Department of Arts. Apart from teaching basic skills courses in the Department of Arts, she also teaches report writing and career management in the Otero Junior College Law Enforcement Training Academy.
