Introductory Chemistry Laboratory:
Course Objective:
To introduce chemistry students to the application of the scientific method and learn about the chemical concepts discussed in Chem 101 lectures via hands on laboratory experiments. Students will learn to make precise measurements with laboratory equipment, record data in an organize manner, use basic laboratory techniques, apply safety procedures when handling chemicals and laboratory equipment, perform calculations using the proper amount of significant figures, and report statistically meaningful results by calculating mean, range, and standard deviation.
Pre-requisites - Chemistry 101 or concurrently enrolled in Chemistry 101
