Biography

Rachel graduated from Crowley County High School in 1990.  Shortly after graduation she moved to Portland, Oregon.  There she started college at Portland Community College and her career in the wireless industry.  After 3 years with AT&T she was offered a position in Colorado Springs.  Accepting the position, she started as Coordinator and was promoted after 1 year to an Account Executive.  During that time she earned her BSBA from the University of Phoenix. She moved back the area (La Junta) in 2002 and finished her MBA online from the University of Phoenix as well.  Prior to coming to OJC Wallace managed Colorado Water Protective and Development Association.  Wallace said that she accepted the position at OJC because she thought the concept of helping small businesses is important.  “The majority of businesses are small businesses and they are the hub of our future,” said Wallace.

Wallace also serves on the Judicial Performance Commission for the Sixteenth Judicial District, the Penrose Non-Profit Institute Southeast Regional Council and the Daniels Scholarship Application Review Committee.
