For the first time in 24 years, Otero Junior College is sponsoring a Rodeo Club on campus. Members of Rattler Rodeo Club have joined the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) where they represent OJC while competing both as individuals and as a team in college rodeos throughout the Central Rocky Mountain Region. During Fall Semester the team competed at: Central Wyoming College, Chadron State College, Sheridan College, Lamar Community College, and Laramie County Community College. The team will compete in an additional five rodeo during Spring Semester. The team is currently sitting 10th in the Central Rocky Mountain Region.
OJC’s Rodeo Club Team Members include:

Ramsey competes in the calf roping and steer wrestling, Belew in the calf roping, and Hazen in the bull riding.
