The Alpine club at OJC is sponsored by Elizabeth Mayers and Cathy Lee Arcuino for the year 2007-2008.    The main focus of this club is to learn more about different types of outdoor activities.   Last year we took trips camping in October in the mountains and skiing at Monarch mountain in the spring.  This year we have camped at Greenhorn mountain, and plan a trip to the dinosaur tracks in Pinyon canyon later this fall. We also plan to go on a skiing trip sometime this spring.

In order to become a member of Alpine club you must attend meetings on a consistent basis. Meetings are held every second thursday at noon in Wheeler 117.  Also, in addition to meetings, students must participate in fundraising activities.  We will be involved in helping sell concessions at several OJC tournaments this fall, on Friday October 26 and December 7.

The wind almost blew us off the mountain that day,
but everybody still had a blast!
