very nature–made environment. I continue up the unnecessary handicap ramp to the porch. Once on the porch I can see the door in which I will find my freedom. To get to it however, I have to fight my way through the infestation of cats on my path. Feeling like I’m Super Mario, jumping over the cats, I make it to the door and unlock my freedom. I walk into the house and welcome the clean brisk scent of a mother’s kitchen. Now I know I’m home.
Home allows me to feel that I can do anything because it’s the place I feel most comfortable. At home, I don’t have that uneasy feeling like I’m constantly walking on egg shells. At home, I don’t have to ask someone for something I want. At home I just feel free.
