The Long Black Road

I am the long black road
I wonder how long my path stretches before it stops
I hear the echoes of the others flying by
I see the different paths that lead to everything else
I want for my path to never end
I am the long black road

I pretend every road is the same
I feel the wheels of life passing by
I touch every path in a different way
I worry my path will end at any time
I cry when others do
I am the long black road

I understand nothing lasts forever
I say enjoy it while you can
I try to choose the right path
I hope I never get lost along the way
I am the long black road
