What if I die
and nothing happens?
I just die.
No soul, no after life, no nothing, no anything.
It’s just my life-less Carcass.
Did we, humans, create love, hope, faith, truth, beauty, and mercy to add meaning to a meaning–less life?
I am.
I die
I am not.
The world goes on.
What if I die
and nothing happen?
What in my life really mattered?
Money? Fame? Acceptance?
It’s just my life–less carcass.
Clothes? God? Competition?
It’s just my life–less carcass.
Awareness? Respect? Family?
It’s just my life–less carcass.
Education? Mistakes? Religion?
It’s just my life–less carcass.
Emotion? Passion? Thinking?
It’s just my life–less carcass.
What if I die
And something happens?
What if my life really mattered?

Dancing in The Wind
By: Ramona DeKrey
Fall’s adagio is beginning.
Splashes of time can be found waiting.
Morning dewdrops dappled in sunlight.
A small, winged silhouette seen in flight.
Transitions in hue to amber gold,
Through rose and violet to grass green fold;
Plus shades in between with timeless glow.
The high, clear air colors mingle and flow.
Turquoise sky patches illuminate,
Swoops, swirls, and twirls; rhythms fascinate.
Striking the contrast in darkest night,
And to the silvered dawn of daylight.

Old
By: Bart Tilton
I flew a kite today.
My son went to Iraq.
My brother mended a broken soldier,
And my nephew just got back.
But I flew a kite.
I flew a kite today.
My country says I’m to old,
Too serve with America’s finest.
The brave and the bold.
So I flew a kite.
I flew a kite today.
With my daughter and my wife.
Safe within these borders.
Away from sorrow and strife.
Yes, I flew a kite.
I flew a kite today.
Being a good soldier,
I used to train with the rest.
Served my country with pride,
I would have done my best.
But I flew a kite.
