Nurse Entrance Test (NET)

Welcome to Otero Junior College

All new students interested in enrolling in the nursing program at Otero Junior College must take the Nurse Entrance Test (NET)

Testing & Retesting Guidelines:

The NET test may be taken TWICE per semester, with a minimum of 3 weeks between tests. If you take the NET more frequently your scores will be invalid. This will be monitored at the state level. A $30.00 fee is due at the time of testing. Test scores are good for 2 years.

Preparation for NET Test

We strongly encourage students to utilize the NET Study Guide published by ERI World Inc. The study guide is available through the OJC bookstore or online at www.eriworld.com.

The NET consists of six sections that will take approx. 3 hours to complete.

Scores on the math and reading sections are used to advise students for success in the nursing program. Students scoring below 59 on Reading Comprehension or 69 on Math will be referred for remediation.
