Class space is limited, so registration is strongly suggested to reserve your spot!I hope everyone had a wonderful summer break!Well, here we are at the start of another great dance year! We have a lot of fun ideas for classes and performances this year! We’re going to have a great time!Congratulations to Kelly Jo Smith and all the OJC Dancers that took part in the La Junta Children’s Theater production of My Son Pinocchio. It was a great show!Also, congratulations to Chapin Galena and Cynthia Justice, who traveled to Laramie, Wyoming to participate in the University of Wyoming’s Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival. It was 10 days of intense dance training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop and character. They had a great time, but were VERY tired! They would like to thank everyone who donated during the Student Showcase in May to help them with their cost to attend.I am sad to announce that Samantha Sober, acrobatics instructor, will no longer be with us due to her school schedule. I am currently working on finding a new instructor to fill this void in the schedule and will keep everyone posted as I work this out. For those dancers who were in Acrobatics, please try one of our other dance styles in the mean time! I know you’ll have a great time trying something new!Fall ProductionAfter the success of our informal spring recital, we have decided to have another informal show this semester. Set for Saturday, December 10th, our Winter Recital 2011 will be held at 5pm. The set up will be the same as our spring recital with dancers being allowed to sit in the audience and watch the show with their families before taking the stage themselves! Keep an eye out for our Performance Packet that will be full of helpful tips prior to show time! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
