Ways to Give

Many lives are touched by your donation to the Otero Junior College Foundation. The spirit and generosity of your donation makes it possible for us to continually serve the students who are the link to our future.

There are no fees or hidden administrative costs taken from any gifts you make. You can be assured that 100 percent of your donation will go to the scholarship, program or project you intend for it to be used for. Donations can either be made to a specific area – such as scholarships, academic programs, athletics, capital construction projects, or to the unrestricted fund, which funds a variety of needs at the college.

Types of Gifts:

• Cash Gifts – check or money orders designated to current areas of need and to support programs of the College.
  
  
• Scholarships: When you contribute to a scholarship through the OJC Foundation; you are making opportunity affordable for our students.
  
  
• Program or Projects: When you contribute to a program or project, you give our faculty and staff the tools for providing excellence in education for our students.
  
  
• Unrestricted: Funds a variety of needs at the college
  
  
• In-Kind Donation – donate a car, books, or other goods and receive a tax deduction.
  
  
• Honor and Memorial Gifts – celebrate a special occasion or memorialize a loved one by supporting education. We will send an acknowledgement to the person or family.
  
  
• Matching Gifts – Many employers will match your charitable contributions…check with your employer to double or triple your gift!
  
  
• Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds- check with your financial planner to learn about possible tax deductions with gifts of securities!
  
  
• Sponsor an OJC Foundation event.
  
  

To make a gift later:
Planned Gifts – check with your attorney or financial planner to learn about making a lasting impression.

Direct the OJC Foundation to apply the donation to the area of your choice or to the unrestricted fund for general projects. When we receive the check, we will send a thank you letter with tax deduction information. *All gifts to the Otero Junior College Foundation are tax deductible to the extent providedby law.*
