Home Stay

La Junta Neighborhood

OJC's Homestay program is open to sophomores and provides a unique cultural experience for both the host and international student. Students experience American culture while sharing their own culture with their hosts.

  • Hosts reside in the community of La Junta.

  • Special arrangements can be made for Freshmen students.

Rental Apartments

Some students prefer to rent a room, apartment or house, independently or with roommates. There are many rental options in and around La Junta.

  • Students MUST be 21 years or older to rent an apartment or house in the community.

  • Private rentals can be found in La Junta --available to rent through private parties, and through rental agencies.

  • Most renters are required to sign leases ranging from six months to a year, and pay additional damage deposits.

  • Rentals rarely include furniture (bed, couch, desk, etc.)
