Founded in 1941, Otero Junior College is located on an attractive 40-acre campus on the southern edge of La Junta, Colorado. Students can earn degrees in Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science, Associate General Studies or an Associate Degree in Nursing. Over a dozen one– and two-year vocational certificate programs are available.
OJC is proud that it is an open-door admissions institution that allows all students the opportunity to reach their academic and personal goals. Over 97 percent of OJC students are employed upon graduation or choose to continue their education at four-year colleges or universities.
OJC IS AFFORDABLE. OJC maintains one of the lowest rates for fees and room and board in Colorado. Students find the affordability, modern facilities and state-of-the-art technology an excellent value for their education dollars.
TRANSFER OF CREDITS. Students successfully completing either an Associate of Arts of Associate of Science degree program will be able to transfer to a Colorado four-year college or university. Otero Junior College’s academic programs have an excellent transfer record with all Colorado colleges and universities.
