In an effort to organize, coordinate and publicize community events, the City of La Junta created a new position – Events Coordinator.
The Events Coordinator serves as a liaison for regional events and attractions within the area. It is the mission of the Events Coordinator to work with all groups and organizations to help leverage existing events while promoting new events that will enhance the experiences of both citizens of and visitors to La Junta and the surrounding region.
Maintaining a master calendar of regional events is among the main responsibilities of the Events Coordinator as well.  Pam Denahy
As the Events Coordinator, Pam Denahy is involved with all regional events and works to promote our great community through a myriad of activities that will benefit the citizens of La Junta, while attracting visitors to the Smile Hi City.
Pam was born and raised in La Junta. She recently moved back to the area with her family after working for more than 7 years in Denver as a Senior Public Relations Coordinator for a technically based business consulting firm which provides solutions to the energy, water and solid waste industries.
