Apply to Otero Junior College
for general college admission. Upon application, you will obtain your Banner S
number. (Example: S01234567). If you already have an S number from another Colorado Community College System College, you are still required to apply to Otero Junior College. **This step must be completed first, before
filling out the online nursing application. |
| Step 2:
|
Go to the OJC web site to review the nursing admission requirements, process and
the program options available (Evening/weekend and traditional weekday programs)
at www.ojc.edu.

| Step 3:
|
After completion of the majority of your pre-requisite courses and after you are
enrolled in the final semester of your pre-requisites you may apply to the Otero
Junior College Nursing program. You will begin/complete the online application
when you click the Begin Registration button below. |
| Step 4:
|
Have official transcripts for the required pre-requisite and general education courses completed at other colleges or universities
sent to the OJC Nursing Department at 1802 Colorado Ave., La Junta, CO 81050.

| Step 5:
|
You will receive email confirmation of the receipt of your application within
one week from the Nursing Department. |
| Step 6:
|
After Nursing Department review of transcripts and confirmation of the
completion of the admission pre-requisite courses with a Grade Point Average of
2.5 or higher, your name will be placed on the admission list. You will receive
e-mail notification of placement upon the admission list.

| Step 7:
|
Upon notification of placement on the admission list by the OJC Nursing
Department you must complete a criminal background check. Specific instructions
will be given with the email notification of admission list placement.

| Step 8:
|
Students will be admitted on a first come first served basis according to the
date of completion of the admission criteria (link to admission criteria).
|
| Step 9:
|
For final acceptance and to start the program, you will receive a letter with
the start date, instructions and forms to complete the admission process.
