Course and Instructional Support

The Instructional Services Department includes administrators and faculty responsible for scheduling courses, developing programs, evaluation of learning, all full and part-time faculty in five departments, international and intercultural activities, library resource center, educational assistance, classroom and laboratory learning environments, along with instructional technologies.

The Student Services Center is a "One Stop Center" that provides centralized services for students and community members in an attractive, supportive and personalized environment. Services include college admission, financial aid, testing, academic advising, new student orientation, registration, cashier services, transcripts, and career assessment testing and counseling.

Student Support and Resources

The Educational Assistance Center (EAC) is located in Room 129 of McBride Hall. The Center provides free support services to all students to assist in fulfilling their educational objectives. These services include tutoring, transitional assistance, study skills, tutoring, test taking, alternative testing, open computer lab, referrals, learning style inventories and other assessments.

SMARTTHINKING Tutorial Service is an online tutorial service that is available to students 24/7. The service provides one-on-one tutoring in math, science, writing, business, Spanish, and English as a Second Language (ESL)..

Wheeler Library is the main library for Otero Junior College and is committed to serving students' information and research needs essential to fulfill course assignments.
