The Otero Junior College Student Center is a hub of activity. The Student Center is home to the Student Cafeteria (Rattlers' Den), O-Stop, Banquet Room and conference rooms. On a daily basis meetings, conferences, banquets and other activities are happening that serve both the campus community as well as the general public.
Otero Junior College offers a variety of meeting rooms for your event, specifically the Banquet Room, Conference Room, and Student Government Room, all located in the Student Center. Our banquet room and conference rooms can all be rented by the public for events. These rooms provide a comfortable arrangement for any size group and offer audio visual options for presentations and Internet connections. Food service arrangements are available with Sodexo Food Services to accommodate your refreshment and dining needs.
Otero Junior College Student Center is located at 2001 San Juan Ave. (west entrance) and 5 Western (east entrance). Parking is free and space is available in parking lots west and east of the Student Center. The Student Center is handicapped accessible by using the parking lot east of the facility.
The rooms can be tailored to meet your event needs, from stationary or audio-visual equipment, to various room set-ups and full on-site catering services provided by Sodexo, Inc.
Upon your request, an estimate can be prepared for your event. At the conclusion of your event, you will receive one invoice from Otero Junior College that will include all charges for the facility as well as food services from Sodexo. Fee payments for receptions and private events are due the day prior to the event. The college accepts major credit cards, checks, or cash.
The Banquet Room is the largest meeting room on campus. The room has the capacity to hold about 270 guests and can be setup in the way that best fits your needs. Whether you need a hardwood floor for a wedding or reunion dance, or a stage for a seminar or workshop, the Banquet Room can accommodate your event. Round dining tables can easily accommodate up to eight guests. Audio-visual equipment is also set up for video, multimedia, and more.
The Humanities Center and Ed Stafford Theatre
The OJC Humanities Center is home to the Ed Stafford Theatre. Our 500-seat theatre has state-of-the-art technology and facilities to accommodate musical, theatrical and presentation events. A lighting and sound technician can be available to assist with your production needs.
Fitness Center and McDivitt Center Gym
Our fitness center boasts state of the art equipment for the use of students and athletes. Enjoy a light weight exercise routine or push your limits for the ultimate in training in a relaxed atmosphere where you can work at a pace that best suits your needs. With the equipment available you can tone specific areas or build a regimen for the entire body.
Our fitness center is located next to the McDivitt Center Gym. The McDivitt Center Gym plays host to Otero Junior College's Volleyball and Basketball athletics events as well as provides a large space for special events including the Otero Arts Festival, Health Fairs, and the OJC Gradation Ceremony.

Classrooms, Lecture Halls and Computer Labs
Many of the OJC classrooms, computer labs and large lecture halls are also available for rent to the community for training or lecture events.
