Otero Junior College offers a variety of meeting rooms for your event, specifically the Banquet Room, Conference Room, and Student Government Room, all located in the Student Center. These rooms provide a comfortable arrangement for any size group, large to small.
Otero Junior College Student Center is located at 2001 San Juan Ave. (west entrance) and 5 Western (east entrance). Parking is free and space is available in parking lots west and east of the Student Center. The Student Center is handicapped accessible by using the parking lot east of the facility.
The rooms can be tailored to meet your event needs, from stationary or portable audio-visual equipment, to various room set-ups and full on-site catering services provided by Sodexo, Inc.
Upon your request, an estimate can be prepared for your event. At the conclusion of your event, you will receive one invoice from Otero Junior College that will include all charges for the facility as well as food services from Sodexo. Fee payments for receptions are due the day prior to the event. The college accepts major credit cards, checks, or cash.

The newly remodeled Banquet Room is the largest meeting room on campus. The room has the capacity to hold 270 guests and can be setup in the way that best fits your needs. Whether you need a hardwood floor for a wedding or reunion dance, or a stage for a seminar or workshop, the Banquet Room can accommodate your event. Round dining tables can easily accommodate up to eight guests. Audio-visual equipment is also set up for video, multimedia, and more.
The Conference Room is located between the Food Court and Banquet Room. With a capacity for 35 people, it is the perfect room for smaller workshops, banquets or meetings. Stationary or portable audio-visual capabilities and catered food services are also available for this room.
The Student Government Room is the smaller of the meeting rooms and is located directly off the Banquet Room. This room has a large table that seats 12. Portable audio-visual equipment, including a computer, projector and screen can be situated for your groups needs. This room is often used as a registration site for conferences due to its accessibility to the Banquet Room.
Contact the catering office at least fourteen days (14) before the event at 719-384-6895, by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or through our online ordering, or stop by our office located in the Student Center food court. Some arrangements can be made by phone, email or on-line, others may require an appointment. This is the time for a thorough discussion of all specifics and details. We can help you make all the necessary decisions and to determine which of our services best fit your needs.
The Student Center is home to the Student Cafeteria (Rattlers' Den), Banquet Room and conference rooms. On a daily basis meetings, conferences, banquets and other activities are happening that serve both the campus community as well as the general public.
The OJC Humanities Center is home to the Ed Stafford Theatre, a state-of-the-art theatre that can accommodate over 500 seated guests. A lighting and sound technician can be available to assist with your production needs.
Many of the OJC classrooms, computer labs and large lecture halls are also available for rent to the community for training or lecture events.
