About

The Girls in the Middle conference is held annually on the Otero Junior College campus to encourage middle school girls’ interest in studying math, science and technology once they enter high school.

A Special Thanks to the generous support from our sponsors. Because of them, we have been able to keep the cost of the conference low.

Conference Comments

Girls

This is a place where a girl can focus on her future.

My perspective of math + science has changed, thanks to the hands-on workshops + cadet role models!

This was so much fun, great to meet new people and work with others. I enjoyed learning so many new things!

Team leader

It was really fun. I really enjoyed being with the girls and learning new things.
