The Otero Players Announce their Production of Samuel Beckett’s Endgame
Auditions and Production Dates

Auditions for Samuel Beckett’s Endgame will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7; Thursday, Feb. 8; and Friday, Feb. 9 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in the Ed Stafford Theatre. Those auditioning do not need to bring anything with them; parts from the script will be available for those auditioning to read.

“While the play is aligned with a Theatre Production course at OJC, community members, as well as students, are invited to audition or participate in the production. There are four roles available: three male and one female role.” Cassidy Litle, Arts Faculty, explained.

Beckett’s one-act play, aligned with the Theatre of the Absurd, presents four characters that seem both strange and familiar to audiences: while they go about a routine that at times feels like a game and at other times an obligation, the four characters remind audiences of our own routines and habits we adhere to, and at times, try to change.

The production will be staged in the Ed Stafford Theatre at OJC. Opening night is Friday, Apr. 13, at 6 p.m. The play will also run on Saturday, Apr. 14, at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Apr. 15, for a matinee showing at 2 p.m.

Anyone interested in participating in the production, such as doing backstage work, lighting, scene design, etc. are welcome to come to the auditions for information regarding the production.

For additional information please contact Cassidy Litle, in Humanities Center 107, by email at cassidy.litle@ojc.edu, or by phone at (719) 384-6851.
