OJC President Jim Rizzuto Announces Retirement
Jim Rizzuto, who has served as president of Otero Junior College since 2001, announced his plans to retire on July 31, 2018. In an age where the average tenure for a college president is barely six years, Rizzuto has proudly served for 17 years. He also served as joint President for Lamar Community College from 2006 to 2008.

To ensure full consideration, application materials should be received no later than February 21, 2018. The position will remain open until filled. This is a confidential search process.
Candidates need to submit the following information or materials to complete the application:
- A completed Candidate Summary sheet that can be found on Otero Junior College application page on the ACCT Searches web page: http://www.acctsearches.org/current-search/16-current-searches/235-otero.
- A letter of application that succinctly addresses the opportunities and challenges identified in the Position Profile and demonstrates how the candidate’s experience and professional qualifications prepare them to serve the needs of Otero Junior College (not to exceed 5 pages).
- A current resume including an email address and cellular telephone number.
NOTE: Candidates must combine their candidate summary sheet, cover letter, and resume into a single Pdf file.
- Candidates will follow the prompts they are given while completing the application form and should input eight references: three supervisors, two direct reports and three faculty members from current or former institutions.
