2021 - 2022 CCCS Foundation ScholarshipsColorado Garden Foundation ScholarshipColorado Garden Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing a two-year degree in either Soil & Crop Science or Agricultural Education at Lamar Community College, Otero Junior College, or Trinidad State Junior College. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, fees, supplies, and transportation. Awards range from $1,000-$5,000. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
Colorado Garden Foundation Scholarships are awarded as two year scholarships. Scholars are not required to reapply for the second year of funding, however, the scholarship may be revoked if the student fails to write an annual thank you letter to the Colorado Garden Foundation; the student’s annual grade point average falls below 2.50; the student changes to a course of study outside of approved fields; or the student participates in conduct unbecoming of a scholarship recipient. The Jenny Bransteitter Memorial Scholarship2021 - 2022 OJC Women's Volleyball AthletesTwo scholarship recipients will be awarded up to $2,000.00 per academic year ($1,000.00 for the fall semester and $1,000.00 for the spring semester), contingent upon continuing to meet program requirements.

The Martin Masar Memorial Scholarship2-year RN Nursing Program Students at OJCThis scholarship is a Memorial Scholarship for Martin Masar, who founded Ryon Medical, an Integrated Health Care Practice in La Junta Colorado. This scholarship is for students who are pursuing the full 2-year RN nursing program at Otero Junior College. This scholarship will be awarded at each semester. It is renewable for the 2nd year as long as student maintains the 3.0 GPA and continues in the nursing program. This scholarship is designed to cover the full 2- year program cost of tuition and fees.

Qualified OJC Student - Scholarship Deadline: March 1, 2021
This $1,000 scholarship is given annually to a La Junta High School graduate enrolled as a full-time student at Otero Junior College with plans to earn an associate degree in any transfer or career program related to teaching. The criteria for the scholarship are based on financial need, academic merit, Hispanic heritage, school and community involvement.

The Otero Junior College State Classified Employees are offering one scholarship of $1,000 ($500 per semester) for the 2021-2022 year to a qualified returning OJC sophomore.

The Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship for the nation’s top community college students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees at four-year colleges or universities.
Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees – for the final two to three years necessary to achieve a bachelor’s degree.

International Student Scholarships
Franzman International Scholarship
This scholarship is offered by Seth and Barbara Franzman for the benefit of a deserving second-year (sophomore) international student to assist with funds necessary to continue their education at Otero Junior College, and to promote a positive international culture in the College community.
International Academic/Leadership Scholarship*
Current OJC international students who have received the distinction of being on the President’s List, have demonstrated leadership and have been active in community service can apply for this scholarship award of $500 toward the following semester at OJC.
International Spirit Scholarship Application*
Current OJC international students who have received the distinction of being on the Institutional Recognition Honors List, have been active in community service and have demonstrated and fostered opportunities to reach across cultural borders to promote international understanding can apply for this scholarship award of $250 toward the following semester at OJC.
Student Life Scholarship
A $500 per semester tuition scholarship to students who select to live in OJC on-campus housing and participate in Student Life activities and events.
*These scholarships are made possible from the proceeds of the International Foods Night Event in the spring term. Thank you to everyone who has supported and continues to support this program!
Colorado Scholarships
Colorado Scholars Program - Scholarships of tuition are available to Colorado residents only who have a cumulative high school grade point average 3.00 or better (High School Scholarship) or 3.00 or better from OJC or previous college (College Scholarship). Student must be enrolled full-time at OJC. These scholarships are also available to returning OJC sophomore students who have maintained at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
Applications must be received by the Director of Financial Aid by August 1st. Awards are made depending upon the availability of funds and will be supplemented by the Colorado Student Grant if the student receives both awards. (Funds from the Colorado Scholars Program are not available for the summer term).
